Dream vacation! Perfect location with a well designed and appointed house. 2 minute walk to the beach and wonderful views. We will be back!

We stayed at 1 Sonoma for a few days and loved everything about it. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, clean and comfy. Several outdoor gathering spots from balcony decks to conversation groupings in yard. And the best hot tub we’ve ever used.

The venue is so well positioned, with a beautiful mountain view and a very short walk to the beach. The house itself is wonderful - spacious and extremely well equipped, and easily handle the six guests we had at one point. Everything was in great working order. Highly recommended. Also, the hosts, Maria and Linda were so helpful, speedily communicative when required, and appropriately unobtrusive otherwise. We had a brilliant time!

House has amazing views of the mountains and is very close to the beach. Nice layout and easy place to live for a week. Highway One is great in every way too.

We arrived late, but made up the time by going out for some dinner. Dinner was fabulous and we returned to spend time chatting. The master shower light didn’t work. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner was nice to have. Breakfast made by my husband was a breeze with everything you need in the kitchen. This is steps from the beach. We brought a lawn chair and sat on the beach while others in the party walked on the beach to the park. We want to return next year and my friends have asked for a contact to rent this place as well.

House was clean, in very good condition; we would stay here again. Loved all the decks. Tons of beach towels, boogey boards, etc. The refrigerator was freezing everything and we didn't call the property managers. Upon leaving, they told we should have called immediately as they're there 24/7.

Only complaints are that there are no screens on the doors and most windows, so you can’t enjoy the ocean breeze. Additionally, the septic system is directly next to hot tub and the aroma made sitting in the hot tub unpleasant.
Overall, a great house — would definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful week in Stinson - great house in a perfect location with breathtaking views of the estuary and Mt. Tam. The beach is just a few steps away and the sound of the waves lull you to sleep in the evening. The staff at Highway One Properties are terrific- we will definitely return.

The house was lovely and well appointed. We really enjoyed the spa and the proximity to the beach.
We would def. rent it again for family gatherings or just to spend time in Stinson.

An amazing house ~ upstairs is light, spacious and open with a gorgeous view of mt tam and the bolinas lagoon. Everything was comfy, clean and in good condition. Easy access to beach and lagoon for walking and birdwatching. I will definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at 1 Sonoma Patio. Although it is not facing the beach, we loved the views of the marsh and the very short walk to the beach. The entry and laundry/mud room are on street level along with 2 bedrooms that were perfect for our teens. Upstairs was the living/dining/kitchen and the primary bedroom with en-suite and walk-in closet. The outdoor shower (note: no enclosure) made it easy to get the sand off everyone before entry. Make sure to get all of it off before entering the hot tub as there is a potential fee if you get sand in it. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with cooking paraphernalia and expected appliances. Bring groceries with you so you don’t have to leave. There is a small market in town but we preferred to shop at a regularly priced store. I recommend bringing or renting a wetsuit at one of the surf shops. We rented but next time we would buy something off brand as renting was $80/week/wetsuit. We got lucky with the weather so we enjoyed beach time every afternoon (plan on the mornings being foggy). There were plenty of extra beach towels but the beach chairs and boogie boards could be refreshed. Next time we will bring our own. The beds were comfortable and you can hear the waves with the windows open. The driveway can fit two cars but it’s best to back in (watch out for the bushes as they are prickly and woody). This isn’t a fancy, perfect house but it was a family friendly one perfect for us. We could relax and enjoy which was exactly the point of this much needed break!

Our stay was wonderful and the house was in the best location. It would have been great if the hot tub was serviced before we arrived and if they had left us more cleaning agents. There were no dischwasher tablets or detergents. These were a few minus points but overall a beautiful house or our Spring break.

We loved everything about 1 Sonoma Patio from the location (steps from the beach) to the layout (roomy and comfortable) to the view (extraordinary view of the Bolinas lagoon and Mt. Tam) to the well appointed kitchen (a dream to cook in). We can't wait to return!

Everything was fine but for 2 problems. 1) the TV in the upstairs living room was overly complicated to change channels. Had to watch Netflix instead of the Giants - Dodgers game 5. 2) furnace was broken and even the furnace repairman couldn't fix it. Luckily, the excellent staff at Highway One Properties loaned us 2 space heaters which kept us warm during the night.

I rented this house for a family vacation and brought my adult children and parents. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we could need. The house was super clean too. Beautiful view of the hills and you can't beat the proximity to the beach!

We had a great few days out at Stinson in a very comfortable house with great views of the mountains and close to the beach! Highly recommended

The house is in a great location about 100 yards from the beach and is well appointed. It's also very private because Sonoma Patio has a gate. Wifi worked well for a few zoom meetings. The kitchen is well stocked. Plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc. so you don't need to bring your own. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay. The house is super comfy and in a perfect location within 100 yards to the beach. It's a tiny bit tired (furniture, kitchen, etc.) as is typical with rentals, but nothing that took away from our enjoyment of the house.

I have rented this house several times now and it has become my go-to. Perfect location and wonderful views of the ridge. Very well stocked too...kitchen, towels, beach chairs, etc.

1 Sonoma Patio was an absolute dream for our family. It's a light, airy and spacious house that is one minute from the beach. The view of the mountains was our morning greeting and evening view. The house is outfitted beautifully with top of the line appliances, organized pots, pans and cooking items. The house layout is great for families and there are ample toys and games, books and beach gear for the little ones. I can't remember a house we have rented that we enjoyed more than 1 Sonoma. It is clearly the home of a family who has great love for their surroundings and that is felt in every detail. The mud room/laundry room made me wish I could move the country. What a spot. Thank you to Carey and Margaux at Highway one for making this booking so easy and enjoyable. Thank you to the owners for creating such a peaceful getaway with all the trimmings. We look forward to our next stay.

We enjoyed our stay at 1 Sonoma Patio. It was super convenient to be a short few houses back from the beach with two little kids. There were toys in the living room that our toddler found right away. The upstairs is super open so was great for family hanging. The only thing that wasn't ideal in our situation with two babies was that the master is on a different floor than the other bedrooms.

This is a beautiful property just steps from the beach. Access is easy and the accommodations are wonderful. Everything is clean and modern and Highway One Properties does such a great job making sure all amenities are included. The property management group even welcomed us with a fresh loaf of bread from a local restaurant. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property and Highway One Properties to anyone looking for accommodations in Stinson Beach.

Fantastic location, gorgeous views of the lagoon and Mt. Tam.
House had everything we needed for cooking fine meals (lots of gadgets, sharp knives, pans, appliances), going to the beach for the afternoon (chairs, towels, sand toys), and family lounging in the evening (watching movies, playing games, reading).
We took beach walks, hiked Mt. Tam, strolled the one-block town, BBQed, and hope to be back soon.

We enjoyed a lovely beach weekend at this home. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The house was also well stocked with lots of toys and books for the kids which was great. We would love to stay here again!

All was in good condition as advertised. Great location, felt private, clean and had all necessities. Beach about 100 ft away. We had a great time and would stay again.

Nice relaxing long weekend. I would not want to stay there for an entire week. The Stinson area only has 3 restaurants and a small mkt. Very friendly people, beautiful weather, outstanding beach and easy to walk from the house to the town and beach.

After an unfortunate situation with a previously rented VRBO, we were blessed enough to land in this property. Just entering the home, we instantly relaxed. Calming environment and everything to meet your needs. Vacationing as a family of 4, with two kids ages 12 and 10. Enjoyed the close proximity to the ocean, but yet the gorgeous view of the mountains when relaxing in the home. Kids loved the loft area for reading and playing games. Close to town, could walk if so desired; just beware of traffic. The bookstore owner is great! Still not sure how to run the stereo system, but that is a minuscule issue. Our only regret is not staying longer. We came from MN, and were not aware how cold the ocean can be. Would recommend spending the nominal fee to rent wetsuits for comfort and allow lots more time playing in the waves. Saw a huge whale just off shore. Beware of the sea lions; they definitely are curious. Great hiking! Kids did a fun 5 mile hike without issue. Only recommendation for the property is to supply trail maps of Mount Tamalpais and know that there are beach towels there, so no need to pack another suitcase with them like we did. Highly recommend this property.
