Marketing: Highway One Properties has a state of the art website that allows potential guests to select properties based on dates, location, number of guests, and many other filters. Along with beautiful photography, our website has an interactive geolocation map, and a full calendar for each listing. Guests can book on line, but many of our owners reserve the right of final approval.
If desired, any of our properties can be added to the VRBO and/or Airbnb platforms under the Highway One Properties banner.
Finally, we regularly use email marketing to send out news about our vacation rentals to our contact list of over 10,000 potential guests.
To get you set up on these platforms we offer the services of a professional real estate photographer to capture the most beautiful features of your property. There is a one-time charge for this service, but the homeowner then owns the resulting photographs.
Vetting of Guests: Every prospective rental request is screened by our agents to ensure the guest will be a good match for your property. We have a strict “no parties” rule, and have a stated maximum capacity for each house.
Care of your Property: Our employees will check your property carefully prior to each guest to make sure the house is prepped and ready, and after each guest to look for any damage and to make sure the house is secure and that the heat and appliances are off.
Management of the Property: Part of our service to the home owner is interacting with service people and maintenance workers including gardeners, appliance people, carpenters, painters, plumbers, electricians. As all of our employees live in Stinson Beach, we pride ourselves on 24/7 availability for both our guests and our owners. Should any emergency arise, we are here to deal with it.
Financial: Highway One Properties will manage the Business license and TOT (Transient Occupancy Tax) applications. If you already have a business license/TOT number, please provide us with this information. We will provide a form for you to sign, giving us the authorization for us to begin the monthly reporting. Our bookkeeper will provide a month end statement and send you a check for all the rentals in that month. Rentals are paid the last day of the month in which the rental ends. Any expenses incurred during the month will be charged to your account and listed under the expense section.
Bottom Line: We enjoy what we do. We love our loyal owners and return guests. Many of our guests and their families come year after year and we receive so much pleasure in helping them plan their vacations or weekend getaways. We also pride ourselves in protecting our owners and doing our best to make sure that their properties are respected. If not, we will deal with the guests to make sure that things are fully restored.
